Skopje, 6 August 2025 (MIA) - The DUI-led European Front has nominated MP and People's Movement leader Skender Rexhepi-Zejd for Skopje Mayor.

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti announced Rexhepi's nomination in a Facebook post.

"After consultations with party leaders within the coalition, we agreed to nominate Skender Rexhepi, the leader of the People's Movement, as our candidate for Skopje Mayor. He graduated at the Faculty of Philosophy and has long-standing experience in the civil society sector. He is currently a lawmaker in the Parliament, a voice of the citizens, defender of their rights and proponent of fundamental political and societal reforms," says Ahmeti.

According to him, Rexhepi's candidacy does not only unify the progressive forces of Albanians in North Macedonia, but also represents an alternative for Skopje, a city that deserves balanced development.

"We are convinced that in Skender Rexhepi-Zejd, Skopje will have a mayor who is realistic, listens to the citizens and works for all," says Ahmeti.
