Skopje, 4 May 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova laid flowers Sunday at the tomb of Goce Delchev in Skopje honoring the revolutionary on the 122nd anniversary of his death. 

In a post on her official Facebook profile, the President stressed that Delchev was and will be “a part of us, of our history, present and future”. 

“The anniversary of the death of the most remarkable and bright figure of the Macedonian national revolutionary action, the founder of Macedonian republicanism, the apostle of VMRO [Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization], the teacher Goce Delchev, reminds us of the sacrifice our ancestors have made so the Macedonian people can live in their own country and culturally compete with other nations,” the President wrote.
