Siljanovska Davkova meets GCTP President Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan

Skopje, 21 November 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Friday with Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), who was accompanied by his associates.

Al Jarwan pointed out that the family of friends of the Global Council is constantly expanding, adding that hundreds of parliaments around the world have signed memorandums of cooperation with this recognizable and respected institution, Siljanovska Davkova's Office said in a press release.

He noted that in parliamentary democracy and intercultural dialogue he recognizes peace mechanisms for the promotion and guarantee of peace and tolerance at all levels and in all environments.

President Siljanovska Davkova welcomed the humanitarian mission of the Global Council, noting that it is necessary and effective in an environment of major security threats.

For her, reads the press release, the Memorandum of Cooperation, which the Global Council recently signed with the Macedonian Parliament, is a step forward in defending and promoting the humanitarian goals of humanity, regardless of differences on any basis.

Siljanovska Davkova particularly welcomed the signed agreement on scholarships for students from the "Iustinianus Primus" Faculty of Law as encouraging for the best students, as well as for those with poor financial circumstances and in need of financial assistance.

Interlocutors agreed that peace and tolerance are imperative prerequisites for democracy, development and prosperity in national, regional and international frameworks.
