Siljanovska Davkova: Let's not give up on professionals, successful people who will help Macedonia find its place in EU

Kumanovo, 9 April 2024 (MIA) - Kumanovo is the birthplace of the revolution and victory, and that is why it is the right place to promise revolutionary changes of democracy instead of autocracy, country governed by law not corruption, said VMRO-DPMNE-backed candidate Gordana Siljanovska Davkova at a rally in Kumanovo on Tuesday.

Siljanovska Davkova said she would continue to fight for equality and added that the people's offices would be reinstated.

She noted that the country is far from European and democratic, with surveys showing that Macedonians are the most unhappy people in Europe.

"Those in office should prove to you at all times they are there because of you not because of their careers, and I will be a proof of this. The President's Office will be composed of professionals, the people's offices will be a place for citizens to criticize, propose ideas and bring back pride," said Siljanovska Davkova.

Addressing the youth, she noted the importance of creating a competitive environment they would want to come back to.

"Let's not give up on the professionals, the successful people, let's nurture them like flowers because they will turn Macedonia into a democratic political garden that will find its place in the EU," stressed Siljanovska Davkova.

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski urged the people of Kumanovo to go out in masses and vote for Siljanovska Davkova, while highlighting the impoverishment of people.

"Expenses are rising but wages are not following suit. On the other hand, the more poverty is prevalent among the people, the more wealth is prevalent among the authorities. Crime is flourishing, corruption is everywhere and justice is nowhere," said Mickoski.

He added that the people must take over the country and take control into its own hands at these elections.

"You may or may not like the positions of professor Siljanovska Davkova but you can never doubt the arguments. This is an honest woman in politics and one that holds vast knowledge. Few of her intellect and energy would go into politics and disrupt their comfort only to help Macedonia and its future," underlined Mickoski.
