Siljanovska Davkova - Fiala: EU must be clear on enlargement

Skopje, 13 November 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala during the COP29 Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Siljanovska Davkova and Fiala exchanged view on the overall bilateral relations, and talks focused on the Euro-integration process, the President's Office said in a press release.
Siljanovska Davkova expressed determination on the Macedonian part to further develop and strengthen the strong partnership with the Czech Republic, both at a bilateral and multilateral level, as well as in the domain of economic cooperation.
She extended gratitude for the Czech Republic's principled and consistent support for Macedonian European integration, noting that the Czech Republic is an important partner and strong supporter of the EU enlargement process.
In addition, reads the press release, President Siljanovska Davkova pointed to the need for the EU to be clear and unwavering in its enlargement strategy towards the Western Balkans, leaving no room for ambiguities.
