Skopje, 25 March 2025 (MIA) — Several Western European countries have offered longer-term medical care to help burn patients on their way to recovery, Health Minister Arben Taravari told a news conference on the health condition on the injured in the March 16 nightclub fire in Kochani.
Taravari said foreign countries expressed readiness to continue treating patients in need of "longer-term and more professional rehabilitation."
"Most likely, some of the more severe patients will certainly need this," he added.
There are currently 115 burn patients hospitalized abroad. The health condition of some of the patients remaining in critical condition has worsened.
"Unfortunately, four to five patients are in a more serious condition, and in some cases there has been a deterioration," the health minister said.
"But our colleagues in the hospitals where the patients are being treated are trying to do their best to get them through this difficult time," he added. mr/
