Skopje, 17 August 2023 (MIA) — Skopje's public waste-collection company Communal Hygiene has cleaned up several illegal landfills around the city, removing approximately 300 cubic meters of bulky waste items and construction debris.

According to a Communal Hygiene press release, it cleaned up illegal landfills in Karposh Municipality's Zlokukjani, several locations in Gjorche Petrov, and Butel Municipality's Radishanska Street and the area near the farmers market.

Also, an illegal landfill off of Maksut Sadik Street near the US embassy, where waste had been piled up over time, was emptied and thoroughly cleaned, the release said. ssh/mr
