Skopje, 23 February 2025 (MIA) — The September 8 City General Hospital will be reconstructed with an investment of EUR 12 million from the TAV project, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday.

According to the prime minister, the reconstruction would include renovating several operating rooms as well as the hospital roof. Also, he said, the hospital should get modern equipment according to European standards.

"Now, people are operating, and the roof leaks on them when it rains. This is a bit rude.

"Unfortunately, no one has noticed this for decades. We noticed it and thanks to the coordinated action of the health minister, the transport minister, the people from TAV, and the hospital director, we did it.

"Everything has been administratively confirmed, approved by the government, and the contracts have been signed," Mickoski said, adding that more details would be released next week.

"We will have European conditions in this health facility," he said. mr/
