Security Council recommends setup of working group on crisis management system
Skopje, 13 September 2021 (MIA) – The Security Council has recommended the Government to set up a working group that will monitor the state of the crisis management system and put forward specific measures for the system’s improved functionality and efficiency, the President’s Office said on Monday. Today’s Security Council session also discussed the people from Afghanistan who have been transferred to the country. Session participants agreed that North Macedonia, in the capacity of a NATO member, has demonstrated preparedness and put its capacities at disposal in accepting people from Afghanistan. Competent ministers and representatives of institutions briefed on the activities related to the people’s accommodation, security checks and safety protocols during their stay in the country, reads the press release. Besides the Security Council members, President Stevo Pendarovski invited the National Security Agency Director Viktor Dimovski, Intelligence Agency Director Erold Musliu, Crisis Management Centre Director Stojanche Angelov, Protection and Rescue Directorate Director Bekim Maksuti, and National Coordinator for implementation of the national platform for decrease of risks of accidents and natural disasters, Zoran Petrov, to attend the session.
