Skopje, 13 March 2024 (MIA) - The State Election Commission (SEC) is working steady to ensure protection of voters' data and protection against cyber attacks, the SEC told MIA.  

"As regards your question on protection of voters' data and protection against hacker attacks, we inform you that the State Election Commission is working steady on these issues and for this purpose, an ICT Strategy of the State Election Commission has been adopted along with an Action Plan, and an Inter-Institutional Coordinating Body for ICT and tackling security challenges has been set up, which is in constant coordination on all matters regarding data security and protection against hacker attacks," said the SEC.

Hackers targeted some institutions a few days ago, which again raised the issue of protection of voters' personal data and protecting the SEC against cyber attacks, taking into account the upcoming presidential elections (April 28) and the parliamentary elections (May 8).
