SEC: Voter turnout 19.96% nationwide, 15.28% in Skopje by 1 pm
- Voter turnout in Sunday’s local elections runoff stands at 19.96% nationwide and 15.28% in Skopje until 1 pm, the State Election Commission (SEC) said.
Skopje, 2 November 2025 (MIA) - Voter turnout in Sunday’s local elections runoff stands at 19.96% nationwide and 15.28% in Skopje until 1 pm, the State Election Commission (SEC) said.
According to SEC spokesperson Radica Todorovska Aleksovska, 134,124 citizens had cast their ballots based on data from 1,279 polling stations nationwide (93.15%), while in Skopje, 71,849 voters had voted, with information received from 678 polling stations (98.98%).
So far, no irregularities or violations have been reported. As for complaints regarding breaches of the election silence, SEC spokesperson Radica Todorovska Aleksovska said that the competent institutions are handling those cases.
“The SEC has only received information on such matters, and the competent institutions are acting accordingly. Should there be anything further, the SEC will inform the public by the end of the day,” Todorovska Aleksovska said at a press conference.
She added that at 2 pm the State Election Commission will hold a public session to review complaints and consider reports on the election observation process.
“By 1 pm, voter turnout was 16.02% in Bogovinje, 29.73% in Brvenica, 25.67% in Valandovo, 23.16% in Vinica, 15.32% in Debar, 26.54% in Debarca, 34.21% in Demir Kapija, 31.21% in Dojran, 20.81% in Dolneni, 27% in Zrnovci, 29.37% in Kichevo, 28.30% in Konche, 18.46% in Kochani, 34.86% in Krushevo, 13.34% in Kumanovo, 34.54% in Lozovo, 24.64% in Makedonska Kamenica, 24.99% in Makedonski Brod, 18.13% in Mogila, 24.17% in Negotino, 36.66% in Probishtip, 31.41% in Rankovce, 27.10% in Rosoman, 16.77% in Struga, 16.74% in Studenichani, 19.31% in Tetovo, 27.93% in Cheshinovo–Obleshevo, and 29.55% in Chucher Sandevo,” Todorovska Aleksovska said.
In the first round of the local elections, turnout stood at 20.12% nationwide and 20.07% in Skopje by 1 pm.
