SEC verifies MP candidate lists
Skopje, 11 April 2024 (MIA) - The State Election Commission (SEC) verified Thursday the MP candidate lists for the May 8 parliamentary elections.
The draw of the ordinal numbers on the ballot is to take place on Friday.
The SEC has confirmed that the following coalitions and parties have submitted lists in all six election districts: SDSM-led coalition, GROM-led coalition, DUI-led coalition, Worth It coalition, VMRO-DPMNE led coalition, Makedonska Era Treta, Levica and ZNAM.
Political party Demokrati has submitted lists in five election districts, Avaja in four, Tvoja in 4, Rodina Makedonija in five, while Edinstvena Makedonija in one.
SEC president Aleksandar Dashtevski said Nova Alternativa is currently making corrections to its lists.
"Several lists could not be verified because of incomplete procedures relating to political parties or state authorities," said Dashtevski.
SEC also adopted the applications for accreditation of observers for the presidential and parliamentary elections from the embassies of Hungary, The Netherlands and Montenegro, the Albanian service of Voice of America, and OSCE/ODIHR.
