Skopje, 3 October 2025 (MIA) - The State Election Commission (SEC) adopted Friday the design and contents of the ballot paper for the upcoming local elections.
The president of the SEC, Boris Kondarko, said the ballot for mayor includes the title of the ballot, the number of the location and municipality, the name and symbol (if provided) of the submitters of the candidacies, the candidate’s election number, and the full name of the candidates based on data from the civil registry.
Kondarko clarified that the part of the ballot paper which remains behind after the ballot is given to the voter contains a serial number, municipality, and the number of the polling station.
“The serial number is not on the ballot paper itself; it remains behind on the stack that the ballot paper is torn from. So, there should be no misunderstandings, no ballot paper can be identified by anyone based on the serial number,” Kondarko added.
The ballot paper for municipal council members contains the title of the ballot, the number of the location and municipality, the name and symbol (if provided) of the submitters of the candidate lists, and the full name of the first candidate in the lists of candidates for council members based on data from the civil registry.
