Skopje, 2 October 2021 (MIA) – Over 27% of respondents say SDSM’s offer for the October 17 local elections is the best. VMRO-DPMNE’s election offer is rated as the best by 24.7%, shows an opinion poll conducted by Stratum R&D after being commissioned by Makfaks news agency. A total of 24.9% would vote for SDSM’s list of municipal councilors and 22.8% would vote for VMRO-DPMNE’s candidates for councilors if the elections were to be held tomorrow. A list of independent candidates for councilors follows (12.9%). 12% of respondents say they wouldn’t vote in the coming elections, 10% will vote for DUI and 9.3% for Alliance for Albanians. A total of 27.1% of respondents say SDSM has the best offer, VMRO-DPMNE’s offer is the best for 24.7%. 13.4% chose the offer of independent candidates. Also, 11% favor DUI’s offer, 10% the offer of Alliance for Albanians, 6.5% Levica’s offer. 4.7% will vote for others, while 2.6% will vote for DOM’s offer. SDSM and its leader Zoran Zaev were in the lead also in the latest Brima opinion poll. In a statement reacting to the opinion poll, the opposition party VMRO-DPMNE said the survey was “fake serving for political purposes ahead of the elections.” The company which has received state funds is now collaborating with SDSM, the party claims.
