Skopje, 7 June 2024 (MIA) — SDSM's central election committee has reviewed the submitted presidential bids and announced the four candidates who would be running for party president in the party's extraordinary internal election scheduled for June 30.

Based on the SDSM statute and the party's rulebook, the central election committee accepted the candidacies submitted by Venko Filipche, Slavjanka Petrovska, Jovan Despotovski and Aleksandar Bajdevski, SDSM said in a press release.

According to the committee, the candidate Zlatko Ristevski from Bitola was rejected due to not meeting the criteria laid out in the party's statute and rulebook.

The four candidates' names and political platforms will be published on the SDSM website and delivered to all municipal election committees, the release adds. mr/
