Report: Irish Prime Minister Varadkar to step down

Dublin, 20 March 2024 (dpa/MIA) - Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar is to step down, Irish state broadcaster RTE reported on Wednesday.

Varadkar was expected to make the announcement in a press conference shortly.

He would also be stepping down as head of the Fine Gael political party, the report said.
