Skopje, 18 August 2021 (MIA) — The fire between the villages of Raovikj and Bukovikj in the Saraj Municipality near Skopje is still burning, as is the one between Rakle, Nikodin, and Toplica near Prilep, according to the Crisis Management Center on Wednesday. The Raovikj–Bukovikj fire is inaccessible, burning low trees toward the Mount Osoj ridge. Members of the Protection and Rescue Directorate and the Army are trying to contain the fire. The Rakle–Nikodin–Toplica fire is less intense, and only smoke can be seen from the inaccessible area where it is located. The local fire brigade said there was no danger of the flames spreading to local houses, however. Seven firefighters are monitoring the area. The fire at Mount Goten has been contained near the village Nivichino Mesto also known as Kalinsko Prisoe. Teams of local firefighters are monitoring it. The fire above the Patishka Reka village has also been put under control, with five Jasen nature reserve employees monitoring it at the moment. mr/
