Skopje, 3 September 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Ambassador to Germany, Ramadan Nazifi has passed away at the age of 60. A career diplomat, Nazifi worked at the country’s embassies in Bonn and Berlin before taking up the post of Ambassador to Switzerland (2009-2013). Afterwards, he held posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ahead of his appointment as Ambassador to Germany in 2019. Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani extended his condolences over Ambassador Nazifi’s death. “Ramadan was an exceptional person and a diplomat who will be remembered by his colleagues in the ministry. I extend my sincere condolences to his family, friends and MFA employees. May he rest in peace,” FM Osmani wrote in a Facebook post.
