Radev: Petkov’s government should quash all doubts over veto removal
Sofia, 17 June 2022 (MIA) - Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said Friday the government of Kiril Petkov should quash all doubts that the veto imposed on North Macedonia would be lifted, MIA reports from Sofia.  Radev said PM Petkov would go to Brussels next week “where he must defend the national interests”.  According to him, the National Assembly and Bulgarians must know in advance what is the position that the PM would take in Brussels, adding that he “cannot make concessions from the framework position taken by the Consultative Council for National Security at the beginning of the year.”  The Bulgarian President said any attempt to replace or circumvent the national position would have severe consequences.
