Skopje, 4 September 2023 (MIA) – The citizens who staged a protest first in front of the Government building in Skopje, and then in front of the building of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, demanded responsibility and resignations from the last three health ministers over the case at the Oncology Clinic.
The protesters voiced their revolt by throwing eggs at the building of the Public Prosecutor’s Office whilst shouting “murderers”, “mafia”, “resign”, “no justice, no peace”, as well as “justice for the victims”. They asked all citizens, regardless of their ethnic belonging or political orientation to come out and support the protest. New protests were announced for next Monday, at the same time and place.
During the protest, citizens shared their personal experiences, and about people who have lost their loved ones.
The protesters observed one minute of silence for the Oncology Clinic patients who had lost their lives.
An investigation was launched Friday over the events at the Oncology Clinic, and searches were carried out at the Clinic and two private apartments in Skopje.
