Prosecutor’s Office invites families of Kochani nightclub fire victims to share testimonies and information

Skopje, 24 May 2025 (MIA) - The Public Prosecutor’s Office said Saturday that prosecutors involved in the investigation of the tragic fire at Kochani’s ‘Pulse’ nightclub will begin interviewing the representatives of the victims’ families - legal guardians of the deceased. These testimonies will allow families to assert their rights, join the prosecution, be kept informed about the case’s developments, and contribute any knowledge they have about the tragic event.

"In the coming two days, the Prosecutor’s Office, working with “Support Kochani” volunteers, will contact the deceased’s closest relatives to schedule when and where they can exercise their rights. Hearings will be held from May 27 to May 29 at the Prosecutor’s Office, coordinated with the victims," the Public Prosecutor’s Office said.

The hearings will be conducted individually, with one legal representative called for each victim to address their rights as injured parties. During their testimony, they may also suggest other family members who might have information about the incident.

The seventh protest march, organised by the families of the victims of the 'Pulse' nightclub fire in Kochani, will be held Saturday in Kochani demanding non-selective justice.
