Skopje, 28 July 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met Friday with the Association of Pensioners in Veles where he said the promise of higher pensions that they made in Veles in 2023 has been fulfilled in the first five days of the new Government.
At the meeting, Mickoski said the main goal of the Government will be to provide more dignified days to the pensioners.
“Our main goal will be to ensure our senior citizens have more dignified retirement days, and spend the most beautiful years of their life feeling decent and dignified, unlike last fall and winter when our parents, grandfathers and grandmothers, instead of spending their retirement days as they deserve, marched in the streets and squares throughout Macedonia, seeking greater rights and higher pensions,” Mickoski said.
According to the PM, a detailed analysis was carried out, upon which they made the promise of a Mden 5.000 linear increase of pensions within the first year of the Government’s mandate.
“In the first five days since the creation of the new Government, we are fulfilling what we promised during our first meeting in October 2023,” Mickoski stressed.
