Skopje, 19 October 2025 (MIA) – Based on the information currently available, I can say that the election day is passing peacefully and with dignity, as anticipated, and in line with the conduct of Macedonian citizens. I expect it to conclude in the same manner and that the results will mark another historic victory for VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told media Sunday after voting at polling station in Karposh municipality during the first round of the 2025 local elections.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said the people have seen the difference and are expected to vote for development rather than returning to times when Macedonia was plundered. “Macedonia deserves better, and I expect that to be the choice of the citizens today,” he added.
