Skopje, 3 March 2023 (MIA) - The Ministry of Economy has almost finished the analyses regarding the freezing of prices of certain products, primarily pasta and dairy products. Decisions will be taken by the end of next week, says Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi.

Minister Bekteshi told Sitel that the Government would be informed once the analyses are complete, adding that all products encompassed by the trade margin freeze measures would be analyzed.

Regarding bread producers, he said the companies that held the press conference on Monday were the ones unlawfully selling bread at a price of Mden 50 in the evening.

"The Government will make no concessions. Everyone has the right to sue, this is a democratic country, but there has been no pressure and they don't know how to undo what they did," says Bekteshi and urges institutions to conduct inspections of "dishonest producers."

He adds that electricity subsidies will also be cancelled for public utility companies if they decide to increase the price of water.
