Skopje, 29 November 2023 (MIA) — North Macedonia is highly important to Slovenia, which is one of the largest donor partners to North Macedonia in development cooperation, Slovenian Ambassador Gregor Presker told MIA on Wednesday.

At a presentation of an open call for cofinancing development projects as part of bilateral development cooperation, organized by the Secretariat for European Affairs and the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, Ambassador Presker said the cooperation between the two countries was excellent and that Slovenian support would continue.

The open call for cofinancing of development projects was published by Slovenia's Center for International Cooperation and Development. Its head Dejan Presicek said it was of great significance for boosting bilateral cooperation.

"I hope we find projects that we can help implement. We can cofinance infrastructure projects, green transformation projects, energy, education, digitization, development projects, projects that would help people live better," Presicek told MIA.

The presentation was attended by some twenty representatives of different municipalities. Also available to them is expert technical assistance offered to support institutions in getting closer to the European Union. mr/
