President Siljanovska-Davkova to meet with top Azerbaijani officials

Baku, 12 March 2025 (MIA) — President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova on an official visit to Azerbaijan will meet Wednesday with Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and Prime Minister Ali Asadov, after her Tuesday meeting with her counterpart, President Ilhan Aliyev.
At the meeting with the Azerbaijani president, Siljanovska-Davkova signed a declaration of strategic partnership and friendship.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in energy and business as well as the lifting of visa requirements for diplomatic and official passports.
Topics covered during the meeting included Azerbaijan's readiness to increase natural gas distribution on the Macedonian market. Also discussed were opportunities for economic and trade cooperation as well as cooperation in tourism, science, and culture.
Later in the day, the president gave a lecture to ADA University students and faculty and laid wreaths at Baku's Victory Park and the Walk of Fame.
On Thursday, Siljanovska-Davkova will take part in the 12th Global Baku Forum titled “Rethinking World Order: Turning Challenges into Opportunities” organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. She will speak at the forum’s opening ceremony and will deliver remarks on the UN Pact for the Future. mr/
