Skopje, 6 March 2025 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, in line with Law on Defense provisions, has issued decrees appointing officers to formation positions intended for generals, her office said Thursday.

Brigadier General Mirce Gjorgoski, the current Chief of Staff of the Operations Command, has been appointed Commander of the Operations Command of the Army General Staff.

Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the current Commander of the Operations Command of the Army General Staff, has been appointed State Advisor for Policy and Planning in the Directorate for Policy and Planning, Crisis Management and Civil and Military Cooperation in the Ministry of Defense.

Brigadier General Orce Jordev, the current Advisor to the Chief of the Army General Staff for Training, Exercises and Lessons Learned, has been appointed Director of the Army General Staff, said the press release.

Brigadier General Simeon Trajkovski, the current Director of the Army General Staff, has been appointed Advisor to the Chief of the Army General Staff for Training, Exercises and Lessons Learned.

Colonel Vasko Kokolanski has been dismissed as Commander of the Training and Doctrines Command before being appointed at the Army General Staff.

Colonel Lulzim Nuredini has been appointed Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command and has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General by the presidential decree.

“All decrees signed by President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova are in effect immediately,” stated the press release.
