President Siljanovska-Davkova receives credentials of new Ambassador of Jordan

Skopje, 4 June 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received Wednesday the credentials of the newly appointed, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, based in Ankara, Hazem Issam Al-Khatib Al-Tamimi.

“Extending warm greetings to King Abdullah II of Jordan and the friendly Jordanian people, the President said both countries share the same civilizational values: preserving peace and security, respecting human rights and the rule of law, combating terrorism, as well as advancing environmental concerns, renewable energy sources, and economic development,” the President’s Office said in a press release, adding that the President believes Jordanian businessmen will recognize the intensified political dialogue between the two countries and take advantage of the benefits offered to foreign investors by the country’s government.

According to the press release, the Jordanian ambassador expressed his commitment to making every effort to open all avenues of cooperation and establish a legal basis for signing agreements and memorandums of understanding in all areas of mutual interest.  

Ahead of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the President and the Ambassador voiced their pleasure with the excellent bilateral cooperation and readiness for its further development and enhancement.

Wishing him a successful term, the President assured the Ambassador he will receive full support in carrying out his important diplomatic mission.
