Skopje, 23 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met Tuesday with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Kristin Melsom.

According to the President’s Office, at the meeting the President and the Ambassador exchanged views on the bilateral relations which, over the past three decades, have been based on traditional friendship and constructive partnership. In that context, they reaffirmed the commitment to continue to foster shared values, and to dynamize and promote political dialogue and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. 

President Siljanovska-Davkova voiced her delight with the concrete Norwegian assistance for the development of the country’s capacities and the fulfillment of its foreign policy priorities and goals. In that context, she noted that integration within the Euro-Atlantic structures and EU membership are a significant prerequisite for long-term and sustainable development of the region.

“In the context of economic cooperation, interlocutors highlighted the importance of the Norwegian-Macedonian chamber of commerce in Oslo, as strong motivation for the business communities, enhancing economic relations and trade exchange,” the press release said.
