President Siljanovska-Davkova in working visit to Kazakhstan

Skopje, 27 May 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova is on a working visit to Kazakhstan where she will meet with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Wednesday and participate in Astana International Forum 2025, her Office said in a press release.

According to the press release, on Thursday the President will address the plenary session of the Astana International Forum, which will be opened by her Kazakh counterpart, Tokayev.

“The forum that will be held on May 29 and 30 under the motto ‘Connecting Minds, Shaping the Future’, is positioning itself as a significant initiative for the promotion of multilateralism and joint action in resolving global issues,” the President’s Office said in the press release.

The Forum will also be addressed by the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame; the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani; the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković; the Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mathias Cormann; and the former Secretary-General of the United Nations and current President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute, Ban Ki-moon

The Forum is expected to discuss key topics such as geopolitical challenges, as well as climate and economic changes, the President's Office said.
