Skopje, 20 November 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received Wednesday the credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of Peru, Félix Ricardo Americo Antonio Denegri Boza, based in Budapest.

At the handover ceremony, President Siljanovska Davkova expressed confidence that the future development of relations and cooperation between the two countries will serve as a positive example and challenge for continuous improvement with new contents in concrete areas, the President's Office said in a press release.

As the world today faces numerous challenges, the President noted, mutual cooperation is essential not only for the prosperity of the two countries but also for building a stronger international community.

"Despite the geographical distance, our countries share important values and aspirations for peace, stability, and development, connected through mutual commitment to democratic principles and human rights, as well as through the interest in strengthening cultural, economic, and educational ties," Siljanovska Davkova stressed. 

The Ambassador of Peru said the two countries share common democratic values, promoting peace, economic progress and human rights, thus contributing not only to the strengthening of the countries, but also to global stability.

He also highlighted multilateral cooperation and thanked for the Macedonian support of Peru's candidacies in international organizations.

Highlighting the visa-free policy between the two countries, the Ambassador expressed expectation for developing tourism in the future, and stressed the role of the minority Peruvian community in the country in strengthening mutual relations and bringing the peoples closer together. 

President Siljanovska Davkova wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic mission, expressing confidence that his diplomatic experience would contribute to deepening mutual friendship. ssh/nn/
