Skopje, 29 May 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Wednesday with World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo and for North Macedonia Massimiliano Paolucci. 

The President extended gratitude to the World Bank for the continuous partnership and support in encouraging the country's social development and economic growth, Siljanovska Davkova's Office said in a press release.  

"In that context, President Siljanovska Davkova welcomed the World Bank's efforts in improving the business climate, increasing employment and social protection, and promoting sustainable and green growth. Interlocutors also discussed and welcomed the new Partnership Framework for our country, as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with the World Bank and ensure sustainable development," reads the press release. 

The President, it adds, expressed readiness and support for further investment of joint efforts in order to deal with the current economic challenges that are of essential importance, as well as implement initiatives that lead to strengthening the economy and improving the quality of life of the citizens. 

"In that regard, the President stressed her commitment to promoting these goals and the interests of our country through economic diplomacy," the press release reads.
