President Siljanovska Davkova meets Israeli Ambassador Frankel

Skopje, 2 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Tuesday the Israeli Ambassador Simona Frankel to exchange views on overall bilateral relations, characterized by friendship and mutual understanding.

Siljanovska Davkova highlighted the Macedonian interest in exploiting the significant potential for further advancing overall cooperation and the importance of strengthening bilateral ties through cross-sectoral cooperation, taking into account Israel's economic, technological, and scientific capacities, the President’s Office said in a press release.

The President was briefed on the ongoing situation in Israel after the Hamas attacks in October of last year. She said that our country aligns itself with EU's policies regarding all security issues, including the Middle East, and coordinated its policies within the frameworks of the joint foreign and security policies of EU and NATO member-states, and is guided exclusively by the Macedonian interest and the interest of Macedonian citizens. ssh/ik/
