Skopje, 19 January 2025 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova has sent an Epiphany greeting to the Orthodox faithful and the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, H.H. Stefan.
"On this bright and blessed day, when the heavens open and God's light descends on earth, I congratulate you on the great Christian holiday of Epiphany. This holiday has a deep spiritual meaning and special symbolism in our faith. Jesus' baptism in the Jordan River represents not only the blessing of water, but also cleansing, spiritual renewal and a new beginning. Epiphany is a day when we feel God's presence in our lives, a day when we receive with an open heart the love and light that God gives us, confirming our faith in him," says Siljanovska Davkova.
Today, as we celebrate God's revelation on earth, she adds, we are called to show the best and brightest in this world.
"May this year be a year of renewal, love and unity, with God's blessing, and may this holiday be an encouragement for all of us to continue with faith on the path of love and justice, to be a light to others and to build a more beautiful world filled with kindness and togetherness," President Siljanovska Davkova said in her greeting.
