Skopje, 13 October 2024 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova attended on Saturday in Ohrid a commemoration and extended condolences over the death of Alex Salmond, former first minister of Scotland, the President’s press office said Sunday.
Sincere condolences over the death of former first minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, who died in Ohrid during the second Forum for Cultural Diplomacy, co-organized by the former President Gjorge Ivanov’s office, the Alliance for Civilizations International Center and the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin and the City of Skopje.
“My thoughts are with his family and closed ones in these difficult times. Rest in peace,” said the press release.
Alex Salmond, who served as first minister of Scotland from 2007 until 2014, died Saturday in Ohrid, where he took part in the second Forum for Cultural Diplomacy. “Unfortunately, Alex Salmond, one of the panellists in yesterday’s forum for cultural diplomacy, held in Ohrid, died suddenly today,” Ivanov’s office said in a press release Saturday.
