President Pendarovski to pay historic visit to Greece
Skopje, 3 October 2021 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski on Tuesday and Wednesday will pay an official visit to Greece, his office said Sunday. Pendarovski on Tuesday will be welcomed by Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou at a ceremony with high state and military honors outside the presidential palace in Athens before holding talks and a plenary meeting of the countries’ delegations. President Pendarovski will also meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis. During the visit, the President will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Greek Parliament, visit the Benaki Museum and meet with the US Ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt. President Pendarovski will travel to Athens with his wife Elizabeta Gjorgievska, who will visit the Athens National Gallery together with Greek Culture Minister Lina Mendoni. President Pendarovski’s visit to Greece is the first historic visit organized at high level by the two countries, his office said.
