Skopje, 28 August 2021 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski sent a note of congratulations Saturday on the great Christian holiday, the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, to all Orthodox believers in North Macedonia. “Allow me to extend congratulations on the great Christian holiday, Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, to all Orthodox believers with a desire to spend the holiday in good health, filled with love and happiness,” he said. The President also expressed regret that people will again have to spend the holiday abiding by COVID-19 protocols. “As we face the peak of the fourth virus wave, let’s be responsible and disciplined. Let’s not allow anything to shake our faith and optimism and retain our values and beliefs regardless of the difficulties we face. United, we can continue to share kindness and understanding, opening our hearts to all,” read his note.
