President Pendarovski receives credentials of new Ambassador of New Zealand

Skopje, 10 November 2023 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski received Friday the credentials of Jacqueline Anne Frizelle, the new Ambassador of New Zealand to North Macedonia, based in Rome.

After the ceremony, President Pendarovski noted that the two countries have friendly relations and a shared desire for their more intensive development, as well as for the promotion of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

“The President noted that despite being geographically distant, the two countries share a vision and responsibility for sustainable development and economic prosperity, commitment to global peace and security, promotion of dialogue and peaceful settlement of disputes, as well as the protection of human rights,” said the President’s Office in a press release.

In her address, Ambassador Jacqueline Anne Frizelle said North Macedonia and New Zealand have a lot in common and share a commitment to liberal democracy, and open societies and economies.

The Ambassador noted her pride in the 1.500 citizens of New Zealand who originate from North Macedonia, which, she said, have become an important part of their society, and added that such bonds ensure a firm foundation for further growth of relations in the years to come.

President Pendarovski wished the Ambassador success in her diplomatic mission.
