Skopje, 22 September 2022 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski met Thursday with European Parliament members Tineke Strik and Reinhard Bütikofer, officials of the Greens/European Free Alliance (EFA) Group in the European Parliament. They discussed the course of North Macedonia's EU integration process in terms of the screening process, the reforms pursued by the country and efforts to align with the European legislation, as well as current developments in the European Union, the President's office said. President Pendarovski said it is vital to pay special attention to judiciary reforms, the fight against corruption and organized crime voicing expectations that the European institutions will fully support and speed up the accession process of North Macedonia allowing the country to feel concrete benefits in the course of the negotiations. During the meeting with the MEPs, Pendarovski thanked for the support so far from the Greens/European Free Alliance (EFA) Group saying the country is open for further support.
