President Pendarovski meets Ukrainian, Swiss Ambassadors

Skopje, 1 June 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Wednesday with the Ambassadors of Ukraine and Switzerland to North Macedonia, Natalia Zadorozhnyuk and Véronique Hulmann Marti.
Participants in the meeting briefed Pendarovski on the activities and further steps taken to help, support and rebuild Ukraine, as well as certain regions, cities and industries hit hard by the war, the President’s office said in a press release.
“In this regard, the President was briefed on the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2022), which is to be held in Lugano, Switzerland, on July 5-6, at a joint initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Swiss President Ignazio Cassis, with a focus on rebuilding Ukraine to overcome the consequences of the war and avoid a large scale social and economic crisis,” reads the press release.
President Pendarovski thanked for the invitation to participate in the Conference, underlining that European solidarity and strengthening mutual partnership is crucial in the Ukraine recovery process and in restoring peace, security and stability on the European continent, the press release adds.
