President Pendarovski meets UK Special Envoy for WB Peach
Skopje, 26 October 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Wednesday with Sir Stuart Peach, the UK Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, discussing overall UK-North Macedonia bilateral relations, the state of play in the region, as well as the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the stability and security of the European continent.
Pendarovski stressed that North Macedonia attaches particular importance to the development of bilateral relations with the United Kingdom and has a constant interest in boosting cooperation between the two countries in several spheres of mutual interest, the President’s office said in a press release.
The President extended gratitude for the latest UK donation of urban training buildings, which is to be handed over on Wednesday at the Krivolak army field, highlighting it is yeat another confirmation of the strong alliance of the two countries – members of the NATO alliance, adds the press release.
Pendarovski and Peach also exchanged views on the start of North Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations.
