Brussels, 23 May 2023 (MIA) – As part of his working visit to Belgium, President Stevo Pendarovski had an audience with King Philippe of Belgium on Tuesday.

President Pendarovski and King Philippe voiced satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries, which are characterized by firm and honest friendship, based on mutual respect and understanding. The interest in further promotion of bilateral cooperation was stressed at the meeting, ahead of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In his conversation with the King of the Belgians, President Pendarovski voiced gratitude over the open and constructive cooperation thus far, as well as the support provided by the Kingdom of Belgium for the Macedonian EU integration process.

At the meeting, Pendarovski and King Philippe also highlighted the alliance between the two countries within NATO as added value to the joint action for a more stable and secure Europe.
