President Pendarovski extends Christmas greeting
Skopje, 24 December 2021 (MIA) – On the occasion of Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar, President Stevo Pendarovski sent a greeting to Dr. Kiro Stojanov, Bishop of Skopje and Eparchial Bishop of Strumica and Skopje, and to all believers who celebrate Christmas today. “Christmas, as one of the brightest and most sublime days in Christianity, reminds us of the basic human values, to live in peace and harmony, to be honest and dignified, in solidarity and justice. This great Christian holiday instills joy, love and hope in our hearts,” reads his Christmas greeting. In these difficult times of challenges and the pandemic, Pendarovski added, it is good to remember that the light of Christ’s birth unites us in faith and virtue, because even the most difficult temptations are overcome with hope and love. In his greeting, the President urged people to act responsibly during the holidays and to protect public health. “May you all spend Christmas in good health, among your loved ones,” President Pendarovski concluded.
