President meets Romanian and Estonian counterparts at Paris Peace Forum
Skopje, 11 November 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski held Friday bilateral meetings with the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, and the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, at the sidelines of the fifth Paris Peace Forum.
The friendship and growing bilateral ties between Estonia and North Macedonia were reaffirmed at Pendarovski’s meeting with Karis. President Pendarovski expressed his gratitude for the support that Estonia has offered to the country throughout its EU accession process and the cooperation in the field of digitization.
Pendarovski and Iohannis touched upon the European perspective and the current issues within North Macedonia’s EU accession process. President Pendarovski expressed his gratitude for the Romanian support and reaffirmed North Macedonia’s commitment to fulfilling its strategic goal – full-fledged EU membership.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine and its implications on the broader region were also discussed at both meetings, the President's Office said in a press release. ad/ik/
