Prepared and expecting sooner start of EU talks, Pendarovski tells Grlic-Radman
Skopje, 15 June 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Wednesday with visiting Croatian Foreign Minisater Gordan Grlic Radman, expressing readiness and expectation for the first intergovernmental conference with the EU and sooner start of accession negotiations. President Pendarovski and FM Grlic Radman reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction from the intensive political dialogue, constructive discussions and exchange of high-level visits, including the coming participation of Croatian President Zoran Milanovic and Minister Grlic Radman at the Prespa Forum Dialogue in Ohrid, the President’s Office said in a press release. Pendarovski thanked Croatia for its continued support to North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process, expressing readiness and expectation for the first intergovernmental conference with the EU and sooner start of accession negotiations. In this context, interlocutors exchanged opinions and information over the latest developments in neighboring Bulgaria and the efforts of the French EU Presidency for a breakthrough in the process. Interlocutors also discussed developments in the broader region, including the Russian invasion in Ukraine and Europe’s security and stability, reads the press release.
