Precautionary measures requested against suspect over Kochani fire who has been undergoing treatment until now
- The Kochani Prosecutor's Office, as part of the ongoing investigation into the fire that broke out in the "Pulse" nightclub, submitted a proposal to the Kochani-based Court to replace the previously ordered house arrest measure with precautionary measures against two suspects in their capacity as former directors of the State Market Inspectorate, and for the first time, precautionary measures are also being requested against one suspect over the fire in Kochani who has been undergoing treatment until now.

Skopje, 18 April 2025 (MIA) - The Kochani Prosecutor's Office, as part of the ongoing investigation into the fire that broke out in the "Pulse" nightclub, submitted a proposal to the Kochani-based Court to replace the previously ordered house arrest measure with precautionary measures against two suspects in their capacity as former directors of the State Market Inspectorate, and for the first time, precautionary measures are also being requested against one suspect over the fire in Kochani who has been undergoing treatment until now.
Replacement of measures has been requested based on assessment of legal grounds and the phase of checks regarding this institution, reads the press release.
In addition, it notes, precautionary measures have been requested for the first time since the event against another person from the first group of suspects, who had been undergoing treatment until now.
"This is a person from the nightclub, and the measures have been proposed in accordance with his current health condition and the need for further treatment," the press release adds.
The March 16 fire that broke out in the Pulse nightclub in Kochani killed 62 people and almost 200 were left injured.
