Skopje, 24 April 2024 (MIA) - The Public Prosecutor's Office (PPO) did not receive any reports over election-related crimes at its e-mail izbori@jorm.mk by the closure of the polling stations on Wednesday.

According to information from prosecutor's offices across the country, the Election Day was peaceful and without any major violations of the electoral process. No serious incidents that constitute a crime against elections and voting, or other crimes that endanger the electoral process were registered, the PPO said in a press release.

The commission set up within the PPO monitored the process throughout the day and will continue to operate until the completion of the elections.

All possible crime suspicions will be investigated and these cases will be prioritized in the prosecutor's offices, reads the press release.
