Popovska Trajkovska's 'Animals' earthenware sculptures on display at KIC

Skopje, 8 May 2023 (MIA) — 'Animals,' an exhibition of earthenware sculptures by Macedonian sculptor Sonja Popovska Trajkovska will open at the KIC Cultural and Information Center and run through May 15.
According to the artist, the exhibit was inspired by a variety of local animals. "It all started with the donkey and the rest joined him," she says.
The sculptures on display were created this year. They are small format and made of fired clay and terra-cotta.
Sonja Popovska Trajkovska (b. 1969, Skopje) has a degree in Sculpture from Skopje's Faculty of Arts. Since graduating in 1997, she has had several solo art shows and taken part in many group exhibitions. She is a multimedia project organizer in the "Classroom Eight 8" citizens' association, a member of the DLUM Association of Artists of Macedonia, and a high school art teacher. mr/
