Skopje, 12 February 2023 (MIA) - Politicians and artists took part Sunday in a TV fundraising event "United for Turkey and Syria" on Kanal 5 following the February 6 devastating earthquake that has claimed over 33,000 lives.

President Stevo Pendarovski, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska and other joined the event.

They all appealed for continuation of the fundraising activities in the coming days, urging everyone to contribute in helping citizens of Turkey and Syria.

The Government declared Monday a day of mourning in North Macedonia.
