Skopje, 14 July 2022 (MIA) – Police officers found Monday a field of about 15,500 cannabis trees with a market value of EUR 5 million in Karbinci municipality, and detained three persons aged 56, 37 and 36, all from the namesake village. The police conducted searches at several locations in the area and found 690 cannabis trees in the possession of one detainee, another 39 in the possession of the second, while 15,415 in a field owned by the third, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. The three persons will be charged for unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursors.
